The Holzindustrie Schweighofer Group has given itself a new name and presents itself with a gentle relaunch of the brand identity: The Holzindustrie Schweighofer Group becomes the “HS Timber Group”. The production units of the group, ie the three sawmills and a solid wood plant in Romania (Sebes, Radauti, Reci, Siret) and the German sawmill (Kodersdorf) will in future be run under the name “HS Timber Productions”. The Romanian blockboard plant in Comanesti will operate under the name “HS Baco Panels”.
The name of the company should be internationally understandable and well pronounceable by the name change. “HS Timber Group” fulfills this requirement and should support the company in the international engagements. “Timber” stands for the raw material, “HS” saved as a figurative mark the founding name “Holzindustrie Schweighofer” and forms the bridge between the old and new name.
Ownership, independence and organizational structure of the company are not affected by the name change: The HS Timber Group and consequently its subsidiaries, HS Timber Productions and HS Baco Panels, remain under the umbrella of the Evergreen Private Foundation (formerly Schweighofer Privatstiftung). Gerald Schweighofer will continue to contribute his know-how, his management expertise and his passion for wood to the company.
In the next few weeks, the corresponding changes will be implemented.
