The European Panel Federation (EPF) has published a position paper regarding the new European Green Deal. It highlights the immense potential of wood-based materials for a functioning circular economy and long-term binding and avoidance of carbon emissions.
The EPF welcomes the ambitions of the European Green Deal to achieve climate neutrality by 2050 together with an innovative, cycle-thinking industry.
At the same time, the association calls on politicians to ensure the supply of raw materials, to guarantee fair conditions of competition, to promote the use of sustainable products, to promote cascade use and to enable consumers to actively opt for climate-friendly alternatives.
